Communications Open Evening

At High Tunstall College of Science, The Communications Faculty is made up of three subject areas: English Language, English Literature and Media Studies. The Faculty comprises of twelve energetic, passionate and experienced teachers who love to bring our subjects to life in the classroom. We firmly believe that English is so much more than just words on a page and this is reflected in everything that we do.

During a student’s time at High Tunstall, we will take them on a journey that starts in Elizabethan England with William Shakespeare, followed by a trip up the foggy River Thames in Victorian England with Sherlock Holmes, before visiting other cultures from around the world; the journey will end with the students collecting their fabulous GCSE results that they can use to help them in their future lives.  Our subjects provide students with not only GCSE results, but real-life skills that will help them function with flair in the world that we live in.

We’d love you to join us in this journey and hope that you enjoy watching our short video clip, which will give you an insight into some of the things that we do.
