Our Acclaimed in Mathematics (AIM) initiative is designed to take our very best mathematicians and expose them to the wider world of mathematics curriculum as well as give them opportunities to maximise their potential.
We run 6 sessions across the year with a variety of formats from specialist preparation sessions for the UKMT Nation competitions to investigations into high level topics as well as organising for some external organisations to come in and deliver to the group.
Our AIM students are our first choice to represent High Tunstall at the variety of Maths competitions we enter as well as attending any education visits we attend. AIM is part of the wider leadership academy and students who are on the programme will be offered a number of opportunities to develop their leadership skills, this could include helping us run internal and external competitions.
We expect all AIM students to maintain high academic and behaviour standards and students place on the programme could be questioned if this is not the case.
