Summer Holiday School 2025!
On the week of 18th August 2025, we welcomed over 150 Year 6 students to our Summer Holiday School before they started their first year with us in September.
From team building workshops to outdoor activities, this week has been packed with different trips and visits to get to know the Class of 2030 better and help build familiarity and confidence before starting their first year here at High Tunstall.
The groups visited Middleton-in-Teesdale with group leader Mrs Glass. They walked 1.6 miles from Low Force to High Force Waterfall and spotted some crayfish in the River Tees!
Mrs Hope led paddle boarding activities at Navigation Point on Hartlepool Marina which the groups loved. The students showed determination and put great effort into this.
Mr Turner and Miss Ewart led a trip to explore the town of Whitby. Staff and students enjoyed fish and chips for lunch and sightseeing at the Whitby Abbey.
Lots of other sessions took place in College such as Cookery, Science, English, Maths, Sports, Art, Team Building, Group Activities and many more. It was fantastic to see so many Year 6 students take part this year. We would like to thank our staff and Student Helpers for giving up their time this summer to help support with our Summer School Scheme.
We look forward to seeing our new Year 7 students in September as they embark on their journey here at High Tunstall College of Science.
