BTEC Music Students Visit Artistic Solutions!

This half term, Y11 BTEC Music students visited Artistic Solutions in Hartlepool. Artistic Solutions provide equipment and professional services to the live music industry across the country for festivals, events such as Tall Ships and Wintertide Festival, as well as kitting out our very own theatre with lighting rigs and curtains.

Students were given hands-on experience working with sound equipment and were amazed by the pyrotechnic effects. Year 11s were given the opportunity to operate a flame machine, fire confetti cannons and communicate with each other through headsets.

The event ended with a Q&A session where industry experts gave students technical information which can be used to help complete their C3 exam as well as career advice on jobs in the live music industry.

This visit was a great opportunity for the Year 11 students to see their passion put in to practice and it brought them so much joy to explore the wide range of pathways they could take within this industry.
