Creative Arts Acadamy Celebrate Successes from 2022-23 Academic Year!

On the 19th September, the Creative Arts Academy (CAA) held their second annual awards ceremony, but for the first time invited parents/carers to join in.  85 students had received their Bronze, Silver or Gold Award for participation in the CAA during the last academic year and we were proud to celebrate their achievements.

The evening opened with a performance from ‘Heathers’ by Grace M before Mr Tilling gave out the Bronze Awards and certificates to each recipient. Students also received subject specific badges for the clubs and productions they had taken part in.

The audience were then entertained with three performances from last year’s production of Mary Poppins with Isobelle, Isla and Layden singing ‘The Perfect Nanny’, followed by Ruby and Elsa singing “Feed the Birds”, and Honey singing “Being Mrs Banks”.

Silver and Gold Awards followed and then our CAA Ambassadors were given additional badges.  These are students who go above and beyond for the CAA and in Creativity lessons, joining in with so many activities, leading workshops, helping to direct plays or work backstage. The ambassadors are: Honey, Euan, Elsa, Sophie and Eve.

Special Awards were given to Iona H for Acting, Grace M for Musical Theatre, Cleo R-K for Art, Harry D for Music, Honey P for Vocal, and Anya B for Photography.

The evening finished with an impromptu version of Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious from Mary Poppins, with all the actions completed perfectly.

We can’t wait to see what they next year brings!
