In Year 7 – 11, we cover the 6 areas of Mathematics: number, ratio and proportion, algebra, shape, handling data and probability. We use a variety of activities to develop students’ fluency, reasoning and problem solving skills, with references given to real-life applications. ICT is also used to support students’ learning.
Over the year, students can participate in Maths themed events such as Pi Day celebrations and the UKMT Maths Challenges.
In KS4, we offer GCSE Statistics and Level 2 Further Mathematics. Both of these courses provide students with a deeper understanding of topics covered in GCSE Mathematics and provide a bridge to A Level studies.
