Year 7 Students Attend Bushcraft Residential Experience!

In October our new cohort of Year 7 students were given the opportunity to attend the Bushcraft Residential Experience to get back to nature and bond with their new peers. Although the weather was not kind for the first day, the overall experience was awesome with the students completing outdoor activities ranging from shelter building to learning survival knife skills. During their stay, students also received first aid training which was then tested in a survival emergency SOS experience which involved rescuing High Tunstall staff from a realistic plane crash site! Thankfully everyone survived and the whole experience provided students with the opportunity to showcase what they had learnt whilst at Bushcraft.

Everyone had an amazing time and the Bushcraft staff commented on how the students behaviour had been impeccable throughout and how they were a credit to the College. We are now planning our next visit and look forward to return in the summer of 2024.
