Welcome to High Tunstall College of Science

Welcome to High Tunstall College of Science, a vibrant, inclusive secondary school set within the western suburbs of Hartlepool.  We believe in keeping things simple and understand parents/carers desire to have good quality education for the children that come to us for their secondary education.

The college’s motto of “Inspire| Support | Achieve” is simple and easy, and it is the expectation that all of our young people enter our College every day and receive an education that is inspirational and supportive, which leads to every young person attaining the very best in educational outcomes at the end of Key Stage 4.

To be able to do this we have the facilities and teachers that deliver a curriculum that inspires our learners to become independent and self-sustaining in their approaches to their own personal development.  We have the support mechanisms to ensure all of our students that need guidance no matter what their ability, get the appropriate level of support.  We are proud of our broad and balanced curriculum which is matched with the support structures we have in place.

We pride ourselves as a College on the destinations of all our learners, from Russell Group Universities to apprenticeships across the North East, our young people are able to progress on to the very best opportunities on offer.  High achievement is at the core of our business and we believe that if every young person achieves their very best then we as a College are successful, but the most important thing is that the curriculum is fit for the 21st century learners needs.

In November 2019 we moved into our fabulous new facilities, built under the priority schools building programme by the DFE and BAM.  We are proud of these facilities and now we will complete the campus, making it the most vibrant educational and sporting campus in Hartlepool.  We already have such great facilities for which the information can be found on this website.

Whether you are a prospective student, parent, colleague or current student, parent or member of staff; or just an interested member of the public, our website should contain everything you need.  If not please contact us and we will be happy to assist you.

Inspire | Support | Achieve
